Usage
The local anesthetic strength is 10 times that of procaine, and the effect can last for 2 to 3 hours. It has strong penetrating power. It is mainly used for surface anesthesia of the eyes, nose, throat and urinary tract. After absorption, it can cause convulsions and then turn into respiratory depression. It is generally not used for infiltration and conduction anesthesia.
